News that the Labour Council is investing £4m in a fantastic new purpose-built youth facility has been welcomed by young people, residents and local organisations already working in our area.
With plans to be shaped by young people themselves, the Youth Zone will include games and sports facilities, music and film-making, drama, environmental projects, health and hang-out spaces. The centres are fully accessible, open day-time and evenings, offering activities and support for everyone – whatever their interests.
“With a huge variety of activities, over twenty each night – and a hot meal provided for just £1 – this is just what our part of South Bristol needs, and we are looking forward to hearing the feedback from young people as the consultation progresses.”
We know that the last year has been really hard on children, young people and their families, and this investment means we can work together to build a world-class youth service to improve chances for these young people who are the future of our city.
