News that Heart of BS13 (formerly HHEAG) and Windmill Hill City Farm are to work together to give a fresh start to Hartcliffe Community Park Farm has been warmly welcomed by local residents.
An open process to find new partners to take the Farm forward means that with this new leadership, it will stay, and grow to be a much more useable and open resource for families, schools and other groups to use.
Hartcliffe and Withywood Community Partnership (HWCP) ran a consultation about the future of the Farm, and the top three Community Principles they found, were access for all, engaging with animals and nature and education and employment. The consultation showed that local people believe that the Farm could provide so much more opportunity than it currently delivers. We encourage everyone to get involved.
“Hartcliffe Farm has the potential to become one of South Bristol’s premier sites for local people to visit, with space for a wide variety of projects, including growing food and green technologies, as well as education around the environment. It could be the gateway for more people exploring the Dundry Slopes, and accessing the countryside on our doorstep.“
